Sculptures by the Sea is Australia's largest annual outdoor sculpture exhibition. In 2006 and 2011, Ellie Nuss and James McDermid's typographic sculptures were selected for exhibition on the Bondi to Bronte coast line.

The sculptures, MORE/LESS, and MEMORY/DREAMS were part of an ongoing series that reveal multiple meanings when viewed from different angles. They were designed to simulate the experience and process of creative thinking.
